Car rental at Soekarno-Hatta Airport

What you need

• A valid driving licence, and an International Driving Permit alongside it.
• Your passport and the credit card used for the deposit.
• The minimum age and any young-driver surcharge are set by the rental company — check when booking.

Driving and road rules

• Traffic drives on the left.
• The Prof. Dr. Sedyatmo Toll Road links the airport with Jakarta; tolls apply.
• Jakarta’s traffic is heaviest at rush hour (around 07:00–09:00 and 16:30–19:00); allow extra time.
• Keep your licence and passport with you while driving, and follow local signs and speed limits.

Getting to the car park

Rental car parks sit next to the terminals. The free Skytrain links Terminals 1, 2 and 3 and the airport station if you collect or return a vehicle at another terminal.
