Skytrain

The free Skytrain is a 3.05 km automated people mover connecting Terminals 1, 2 and 3 with the airport station. Trains run every 5 minutes, and the ride from Terminal 1 to Terminal 3 takes about 7 minutes. The trains run on the landside only.

Airport Rail Link

The Soekarno-Hatta Airport Commuter Line links the airport station (SHIA) with Manggarai station in South Jakarta in about 45 minutes. Each train carries up to 272 passengers and leaves roughly every 30 minutes, with trips from Manggarai between 05:00 and 22:00 and returns from SHIA from 05:57 to 22:57.

Transjakarta buses

Jakarta’s bus rapid transit runs two airport routes: SH1 between Terminal Kalideres and the Soekarno-Hatta offices area, and SH2 between Blok M and the airport train station.

Buses and coaches

State operator DAMRI and private operator Primajasa run coach services to various destinations. The Jabodetabek Airport Connexion — DAMRI, Big Bird and Sinar Jaya Megah Langgeng — links the airport with malls and hotels across Greater Jakarta.

Taxis and car hire

Taxis of various kinds wait in front of every terminal, and rental desks operate in the terminals; international booking platforms serve the airport. Allow plenty of time for Jakarta’s traffic, especially at peak hours.

The airport lies in Tangerang, about 20 km north-west of Central Jakarta; allow generous transfer times, especially at peak hours.
