Where arrivals happen

  • Terminal 1 — southern side of the airport; sub-terminals A, B and C.
  • Terminal 2 — north-western side; sub-terminals D, E and F (2F serves hajj and umrah flights).
  • Terminal 3 — north-eastern side; the newest and largest terminal.

Arrival procedure

  1. Disembarkation — follow the Arrivals signage to your terminal.
  2. Immigration — foreign nationals clear entry control with a valid passport. Citizens of ASEAN states, most of Europe (including France, Belgium and the Netherlands), the UK, the US, Japan and many other countries may enter visa-free for up to 30 days (non-extendable); many other nationalities can obtain a visa on arrival or e-VOA (Rp 500,000, up to 30 days, extendable once) — apply through the official e-Visa portal before travel.
  3. Baggage claim — on the arrivals level of your terminal.
  4. Customs — declare goods over the duty-free allowance.
  5. Transfer — onward flights depart from your terminal; the free Skytrain connects the terminals and the airport station.

Getting into the city

  • Airport Rail Link — SHIA station to Manggarai in about 45 minutes, every 30 minutes between 05:00 and 22:00.
  • Transjakarta — bus route SH1 to Kalideres, route SH2 to Blok M via the airport train station.
  • DAMRI and other coaches — services to destinations across Greater Jakarta.
  • Taxis and car hire — available at each terminal.

Indonesia grants visa-free entry for up to 30 days to citizens of many countries, including ASEAN states and most of Europe; other travellers can use the visa on arrival or e-VOA (Rp 500,000).
