Taxis at Soekarno-Hatta Airport
Taxis are widely used at the airport. They are the most practical option for door-to-door travel at night or with heavy luggage.

Where to find them
- At each terminal — taxis wait at the forecourt in front of the arrival halls of Terminals 1, 2 and 3; ranks are clearly marked.
- Official counters — airport taxi counters operate in the arrivals halls; they are the simplest way to join an official queue.
Fares

Practical tips
- Taxis in Jakarta are normally metered. Keep the receipt and check that the meter is running.
- Tolls may apply on the toll road to the city and are added to the fare.
- Peak hours around 07:00–09:00 and 16:30–19:00 can extend journey times into Jakarta significantly.
- Ride-hailing apps are widely used in Indonesia and can be ordered from the terminal pick-up area.
- For trips between terminals, the free Skytrain is usually quicker landside than a taxi.
